Cook's Jewelry in Tipton, Iowa

Cook's Jewelry was founded in Tipton, Iowa by Louie and Virginia Cook. It proudly stood as an iconic landmark in Tipton for over five decades until their retirement.

Cook's Jewelry in Downtown Iowa City

After learning the trade from his parents, and attending Gem City College to study watchmaking and goldsmithing, their son Steve Cook opened a second store in downtown Iowa City in 1984.

Cook's Jewelry in Eastdale Plaza

After quickly outgrowing this location, Steve moved the business to Eastdale Plaza on the east side of Iowa City, where Cook’s Jewelry has now been for over 30 years. Steve was joined by his wife Cindy and completed several store expansions in the 1990's.

Cook's Jewelry Today

Their son Ben and his wife Kaitlyn have now taken over ownership of the store and are the third generation of the Cook family to proudly continue on in the family business. Ben started working for his parents in 2005, and after apprenticing with them and learning the trade for many years, he is now leading the Cook’s team.
